BHARAT MATA MANDIR

One of the most unique place to visit in the town of Haridwar is Bharat Mata Mandir. Consisting of 8 stories , the temple is a major attraction for Travellers in Haridwar.

      Every single floor of this 8 storey building is devoted to representing the specific theme. The 1 floor features the statue of mother India, hence named Bharat Mata Mandir. The second floor is dedicated to all freedom fighters of India. The third floor stand in dedication of some of the most revered women of India including Meera Bai, Savitri, Maitri. The fourth floor, named Sant Mandir, feature all the great saints of Jainism , Sikhism and buddhism.

      The fifth floor of Bharat Mata Mandir is known as the assembly hall. The floor is representation of the co- existence of all the faiths followed in the Indian subcontinent. The sixth storey of Bharat mata Mandir is dedicated to Hindu  goddess of Shakti. If you want to experience all the different incarnations of Lord Vishnu, you should heat straight to the seventh storey of the temple.

      The eighth floor, which is the uppermost in the Bharat Mata Mandir is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

PAWAN DHAM TEMPLE

Pawan dham temple is one among the most visited  pilgrimage shrines in Haridwar. Devotees who come to Haridwar can never afford to miss a visit to Pawan Dham temple. The temple is one of the most oldest Dom's in the state of Uttarakhand. The ornamental idols are the biggest attraction within the shrine. Swami Vedantanand maharaj is the founder of this temple.
         
          The wonderful work of glass and artistically designed walls are the main reason of it's popularity. The holy visit to the ancient temple is believed to make oneself free from ones sin.


DAKSHESWARA MAHADEV TEMPLE

Located in Kankhal in Haridwar Daksh Mahadev is one orf the oldest temples and a prime place of pilgrimage for Shaivites. The chief deity of the temple is good Shiva and goddess Sati. The temple is named after the king Daksha Prajapati , the father of goddess Sati. Also known as dakesheswara Mahadev Temple , it houses the yajan kund and Daksh ghat at the left of the main temple. 

        The walls of Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple depict the various episodes of the yajan story of king Daksha and the entire history of temple. The temple premises also has a very big banyan tree , which is thousands of years old.

MAYA DEVI TEMPLE

Maya Devi temple is a Hindus temple dedicated to goddess Maya in the holy city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand. It is believed that the heart and naval of the goddess Sati fell in the region where the temple stands today and thus it is sometime referred to as a Shakti peeth. Goddess Maya is the adhisthatri deity of Haridwar. She is the three headed and four armed deity who is believed to be an incarnation of the Shakti. Haridwar was previously known as Mayapuri in reverence to this deity. The temple is a siddh peeth where the desires are fulfilled.

CHANDI DEVI TEMPLE

Chandi devi temple is a Hindus temple dedicated to goddess Chandi devi in the holy city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand. The temple is situated at the top of Neel parvat. Chandi devi temple was built in 1929 by Suchat Singh in his reign  as the king of Kashmir. However the main murti of chandi Devi at the temple is said to have been installed in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya, one of the greatest priests of hindu religion. The temple also known as Neel parvat teerth is one of the Panch tirth located within Haridwar. Chandi Devi is highly revered by the devotees as a side peeth which is a place of worship where desires get fulfill.

MANSA DEVI TEMPLE

MANSA Devi temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Mansa devi in the holy city of Haridwar. The temple is located at the top of Bilwa Parvat. The temple, also known as Bilwa tirth is one of the panch tirth in Haridwar.
      Devotees who pray to Mansa Devi to fulfilling their wishes tie thread to the branches of a tree located in the temple. Once their wishes are fulfilled, they come again to Temple to untie the thread from the tree.
      Mansa Devi temple is one of the siddh peeth. It is one of the 3 such Peeth's located in Haridwar. The inner shrine has two deities, one with eight arms and the other with 3 hands and 5 arms.

HAR KI PAURI

Har ki pauri Is the famous Ghat on the banks of Ganga in Haridwar in the state Uttarakhand. This is the major landmark of the holy city Haridwar. Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are believed to have visited the Brahmakund in Har ki Pauri in vedic time.

     It is believed that it is precise where the Ganga leaves the mountain and enter the plains. Har ki Pauri is also the area where thousands of pilgrims converge and festivities commence during the Kumbh mela, which takes place after every twelve years and the Ardh Kumbh Mela, which takes place after every six years. It is also well renowned for its Ganga Aarti that place at Brahmakund at evening.

PLACES TO VISIT IN HARIDWAR

Haridwar is an ancient city and one of the most important pilgrimage site for Hindus. The holy river Ganga enter Haridwar which gave this city its ancient name of Gangadwar literally mean " Gateway of the Ganga".

HAR KI PAURI-

Har ki pauri is one of the most famous landmark of Haridwar. This ghat is believed to be the exit point of holy river Ganga. The huge procession called as the Ganga Aarti takes place in Brahmakund area of Har ki pauri.

SHANTIKUNJ ASHRAM-

Shantikunj ashram is well renowned ashram in Haridwar. People from all over the world visit this ashram in search of spiritual and moral enlightment.

MANSA DEVI TEMPLE-
